Do you see what I see?

Poem Artwork

... damp with the promise of
rain that falls all around
but here, a cold front stalled
keeping Autumn away
for now.  Mosquitoes whine
their last complaints into
my ears before setting
with the sun.  A skinny
cat pads by on velvet
paws, startling when a bug
buzzes its nose. The big
harvest moon brings on night -
this is what I see when
sitting on my front porch.

The incredible harvest moon, so full of promise of the earth's and God's bounty.
Think I'll join you for some lemonade and enjoy the moon and your company.

The picture and the poem provokes in me the desire to stop on my tracks and start howling at that moon.
Please keep that little bug away from my whiskers.

Pretty pic to go with that mind stimulating poem. I forgot where I was for a second. I can hear the mosquitos and bugs and feel a breeze. Your family must be so proud of you and your sister. Two beautiful minds with so much talent to share! *hugs* Jean

How about that harvest moon??? Is it not beautiful? Your words do justice to this night in such a peacesful, serene setting....

Be safe,

I can see the scenes unfolding before my eyes as I read this spellbinding, visually penned feast for the senses. Very well done, Karla, and that moon is magnificent (as are you!). BRAVA!
