words down for the night ...

Nothing to hold back
the sun; no clouds to
impede its progress
across azure skies ...
setting quicker now.

The moon is getting
ready for bed; soon
it will be rocking
on a blanket of
velvet lined with stars.

I won't be too far
behind.  A Poet
needs her beauty sleep --
it's time to put these
words down for the night:
