... sometimes wonder/if that would make me feel better/the total unhinging - ....

Poem Artwork

Caught in claustrophobic bands of
pain, held down against my will, I
yearn for ease of movement - the spine

forgets its youthfulness.  Muscles/
nerves/tendons [[brace]] an unwilling
span w eak  ened by age, threaten to

give way, collapse - sometimes wonder
if that would make me feel better,
the total unhinging - maybe

then they would believe me and do
something about it - why should a
body have to suffer like this?!?

oh - Karla, elegantly put -the total unhinging is a brilliant image -it should be the total unhinging of angriness of voice, a collective voice - the state of health care in Britain is a bit of a sore point with me - and that was my biggest british bit of understatement this year - makes me angry *dons Hulketta suit and snarls* - would shouting at the doctors help? Or asking again and again nicely for proper care and attention? I hope you feel well soon and often, best wishes from Hulketta and me, Nicky x

Terrible to have such pain. Sometimes it's hard to know which pain is stronger in the body! Cheers and may God bless

I ask that a lot too, as I'm sure many do, and we just have to bear it as He did and know it will pass and one day He'll perfect us too!
I pray it is relieved soon!

Eileen

Your breaking up of the words, and squishing them together works! I hurt just reading it. Hope some day some medication works. --Charlie

Karla, Sometimes we have to live with what this life has dealt us. The only thing we can do is make our pain as comfortable as possible.
I shall send you more healing energy. You have a beautiful day.

Sometimes there is beauty through pain--the beauty of your words, the beauty of your ability to express the pain in such a way that your readers are moved to care, to pray for you, to ask the questions you ask, to "feel" your suffering, to understand in some small way what you are enduring--and to love you.

Sincerely,
Connie

The voice of pain and longing is in your poem and those of us who have suffered similarly know the depth of your words.

*OW* This one made ME hurt! You describe the agonies of back pain perfectly in this one! Sorry you are in pain; hope you get the needed relief soon! Very well (and painfully) penned; brava!

At times I think the suffering we endure in our bodies is hell here on earth. Pills, pain management...it all is in the hands of medical "gurus" who are pushing meds that the pharmecuticals reps "encouage" docs to prescribe. Are they the best meds. I go to a nature place and buy TheraNeem or Neem
. It's a miracle herb that is working . Look it up.
Love,
Susan
