This just came to me, and so, I write ...

Poem Artwork

A fall drops slowly,
tracing its way down cheeks
determined not to
let it join its brothers.
I fail to save it
as it jumps from my eyes,
a suicidal
leap into the abyss.
Others push their way
to the surface - lemmings
clinging to the cliffs
my lashes have become:
made easier by
the first brave one, they let
go, drown in the seas
gathering at my feet ...
