KARLA .... I SALUTE YOU ... AND ALL OF THEM THAT PRECEDED US.

I don't remember the exact sorce, or number, but I think it was the soldier's Code of Conduct, and may have been the last item in the list:

"to salute all colors and standards not cased." I well remember stopping on the military base, and saluting the red flag on a General's CAR - even though he was NOT in it ---
YET - the selfish FOOLS who sent our brave warriors out FAIL to salute the returning VALIANT VETS ... well, at least unless a TV camera crew is around - good PR, don'cha know?

I think it matters to a lot, most people respect and love the service man who follow orders unquestionably which is their job. Our job though as the people who elect the representatives who decide where our young servicemen and women will fight, do not let them die for cause that is in vain or has no bearing on anything except monetary gain.

We need to start thanking our lucky stars for each and every veteran (living and those who died, either in battle or in time of peace) that gave their lives for the freedoms that we enjoy. We also ought to start giving them the benefits that they (rigthfully) deserve instead of treating them like a piece of crap. As the daughter/sister/niece/cousin of military personnel it'd be stupid for me not to remember the sacrifices made by our veterans!! God bless our military might; and thank YOU for YOUR service in the Air Force; it was NOT in vain!!
