It's the ocean-green
month of the year:
I feel it nibbling at my toes,
nipping behind the knees,
tasting the center of me.
It licks its way around the
peaks of my breasts,
lingering on my tongue,
leaving its scent in my hair -
tired of dreaming
of being loved by water:
it's time for another cruise!
To be loved by water....that's so sincere as to the kind of love we all feel when swept away by travel!
Much love to you and you are truly on my "free cabin" list! Didn't have to promote me and my hubby but you did, and we are thankful for what you do.
The water and the islands are waiting....it's only a matter of time when all of the authors who want to get away decide, "Karla, it's time we ALL got together for at least 3 days, pack up our muses and our laptops, our shorts our t-shirts and our flip flops--and created poetry that pays homage to all who understand the creative powers in us all that are so stimulated by the calm lapping of the waters, both within us and around us. Most of my poetry I write comes when I'm around water....even near the kitchen sink! (lol)....just somethin' about "the water."
Sounds like good luvin to me, Karla... And there ain't no-one does it better nor more completely, takin you under! :)) I'm cruisin already....!! TY Kate xx
Karla your writes are just getting more and more spledid all the time. This one is great! I love-love the line "tasting the center of me"... love it. --Charlie
Hmnnn if you can find that much passion in the touch of water...I can't wait to hear what you write about with a man...lol oops, that sounds like a challenge.

HAHA, and Christines review make me sing.....
Its cold outside,
There's no kind of atmosphere,
I'm all alone,
More or less.
Let me fly,
Far away from here,
Fun, fun, fun,
In the sun, sun, sun.
I want to lie,
Shipwrecked and comotoase,
Drinking fresh,
Mango juice,
Goldfish shoals,
Nibbling at my toes,
Fun, fun, fun,
In the sun, sun, sun,
Fun, fun, fun,
In the sun, sun, sun.
Don't know where you get such beautiful pictures, but with a sunset like that I would likely hear the call of the sea and one of those big cruise ships. If you go, think of me. It's been years since my last cruise down to Mexico. NIce poem.
As long as you go on a cruise, Karla, you'd best take me with you, or I'm going to be MAD!!!!! I am ready to go too--right now!! Very well penned; brava!
(((HUGS))) and much love, your twink, Karen Lynn. :D
Perfect for fans of Bill Bryson, Elizabeth Gilbert, and Cheryl Strayed, this is more than a travelogue—it's a hilarious and heartfelt journey for anyone who has ever wondered: "Is this it?"
very well written Karla...

Thanks for the trip.
