man you should see her sparkling eyes in real life, and her laugh and smile... i may write a poem with her in fits as she straddles a gate does our kate....
No one on here knows what a fine fettle she is, up close she is beautiful, her voice is dreamy, and she holds an audience in enchantment with her mesmeric voice and wide lingo. I've never had a better pal....

KARLA!!!! .... I am virtually... SPEECHLESS! I have been nodding along with each of these wondrous Odes and saying "uh-huh... she's got it!" But with this, I had to think really hard to register that it's ME you're speaking of. I am deeply moved and grateful. To think that my "carefulness" comes across, is divine. I wish it WAS all so effortless! Yet my mind's eye sees a beautiful white swan in your gracious lines. (I still see a dowdy cygnet, perhaps!) Darlin, if MY words are carefully chosen and folded, YOURS are the ones that give them life and let them fly! You're a total Sweetheart and doing wonders for the morale of Body Poetic here in this place. You give us all the chance to appreciate each other, as well as our work, and that is a most generous and enormous gift. I am undone also by all the warm sentiments left in review, too. Beautiful folding of words, Karla...Kate's poetry is high on my list of the most meaningful poetry I have ever read...she writes from the heart and soul...I will never forget her lamb and her shoelaces...

Killer first two lines there... fabulous! And the neatest part, is that it reminds me of one of her poems-- I can't remember the name, but I seem to remember visuals of origami words flying back to her with red on them-- she'd been given a tough time by an editor. I love how you take deeply meaningful images and styles to give tribute to these poets-- so a huge Ku-dos to you!
As for Kate? Spot on... one of the most gifted writers here-- vivid images, and mouth-watering musicality. And she's my kissin'-cow cousin! (I just discovered that)... her poetry will be in books of classic literature some day-- just see if it isn't! --Charlie

WOW! that's a keeper, you should write with brushes on rice paper, preferably in front of a window facing Mount Fuji in Japan, with your words folded like origami butterflies.
