This sweet poem describes my mom so perfectly.
A beautiful tribute to my loving mother and friend, who cares for so many "unwanted waifs" and children who truly do blossom with her love and unconditional acceptance. Thank You!

The picture, Cryssa, is really just a wide-eyed, big-lashed ogress blinking. You see that light behind her eyes? I love it.

I'll have to say, Karla, that this is my favorite of your tribute poems, because (and I don't mean to offend anyone here) she's my favorite gal in the den. (named Cryssa), and I love her like she was my own flesh-and blood! (which she is)... "She's a darling, she's a demon, she's a girl... but how do you solve a problem like [Cryssa}?" If you're wise, you make her sleep out in the hall.
