insomnia is no friend to the weary body and mind -- seeking only relief from the raging weariness -- no cure have I found -- to capsules I'll never acquiesce -- a great write Karla -- insomnia has been a mortal foe for most of my life -- peace to you dear lady -- JMW

Hello Karla: So here is your poem -- do you, like I, have persistent insomnia, then? I've been through everything and it's still hit or miss. I still seek that true savior in capsule form. So far they are all too fickle. Anne Sexton had to use a lot of pills to sleep. But it was being on Thorazine that rally affected her writing negatively, acc. to her.
Karla,
Your writing seems to have taken a turn. I'm glad you made comment on your influences...I do sense a change, and I was wondering. I tend to be overly sensitive to stuff. Anyways, this poem has a frustrated voice. Almost desperate. An excellent piece! Love and Hugs,
Sheila
Been there, done that, have LOTS of t-shirts! Couldn't have said it better than this, though. Great job! Rebecca

Well, shoot, it's not like there is anything to keep us from sleeping out here -- just crazy hurricanes and psychotic tornados, to say nothing of the killer armadillos pouncing on ya outta the closet, and your occasional attack-daisy! I think Julie's ovoids might be just the ticket :-)
Xanax does it for me...they are an anti-stress medicine, but I rarely use it, because it CAN make you awake with a weird kind of hangover thing...I love to sleep, but I don't like awakening with that feeling...by the way, how hard is your head? Maybe your sister can hit you with an iron skillet to knock you out, as long as your head is hard enough to deal with it...;-) ed
I am so glad this is fictional my friend. I think we've all been there, done that but it finally comes when its ready. Nothing seems to work except blocking everything from your mind. Which is easy for me, nothing there. Love and hugs, Bonnie

I like the way you go here, it's more than clever, it's strong and credible and convincing. A fine piece.
