Say a prayer. Wildfires continue to burn to the West and Northwest of the area; smoke still lingers heavy in my nose and lungs.

Dry, now, won't be the case, tomorrow. Storms are expected from late tomorrow into Easter Sunday, some of which could be severe.

Lord, keep us safe, Your Will be done -- Amen and Amen.

Poem Artwork

a blood red eye glares
down through a malevolent
haze of smoke and dust ---

it wants me.  can see
it in its expression of
absolute hatred ---

because i've been bought
by the saving Grace of love,
i do not worry ---

if worse comes to worse,
i will meet my Heavenly
Father, face to face ---

until then, Lord, give
me strength.  You are my refuge.
You are my shelter ---

This was quite uplifting to read and I needed something like this to help me cheer up a bit after a not-so-superb day. Your words ring true.

Also, thank you for reviewing my work.

Oh the truth of it all. Yes, just think that if you didn't experience these powerful forces of nature, you would not be able to share your wonderful pictures and verses about them with us. I pray you keep well and continue to keep us all informed in your unique and wonderful way. Hugs, J'nia

Karla, after what happened in Australia we got it, bush fire aren't just bush fire when it can devour the homes and the people living there.
A lightning, a cigarette stub thrown from speeding car...and then, we have the arsonists.
I hope that one of those Texans deluges come to the rescue and the rain make it impossible the fire to gain momentum.
My thoughts are with you and sis.

Karla, The poem is powerful and commanding. It is well you can recognize the danger yet keep your fear under control with a faith in our loving Lord. You have come a long way I think, just since last year. I know it is hard and I am so proud of you. Keep on keepin on! My prayers for all those in danger. Kathy
