Today being what
IT is, I look out. The sky
is as heavy as
my eyes: clouded. Tears
threaten to spill. Doesn't take
much to get them to
falling. T.V. o f f:
can't watch. Images from back
then permanently
tattooed on the brain:
don't need to see them again.
One time was enough.
My heart cracks open,
drops to my feet, bleeds as I
remember friends who
lost loved ones THAT day:
my pain nothing compared to
what they are feeling.
The sky understands.

9/11, i was just arriving back in Europe from somewhere east and was dropping my mine bags in the floor on the den floor as the TV was on Welcoming back Mister Myself, the picture in the screen was airplanes smashing on the NY Trade Towers like that Gozilla movies and my first thought were how childish could Hollywood gets and switched off the damn box.
Then the telephone rang at it wasn't more believe.
Regretting that dumb Executive Order about prohibiting the taking off of GOP's engaged in support of extremism leprosy.
Pissed off? you bet I am!

I feel what you are saying .... neither do I need to see television reminders of what happened on 9/11. Living near NYC and being originally from NYC I know many who lost someone close to them --- and as an American I know we all lost a piece of ourselves.
