Poem Artwork

Cornflower blue, checked
with cotton-white clouds ----
the sky, in August.
It reminds me of
Dorothy's gingham ----
strong and durable.
Just like the people
of the Southern Plains ----
they were made to last.

Oh, yes, I love gingham. And there are kids out there who don't know what it is (that or taffeta either). Sweet poem and true.

Lovely comparison, Karla; the sky is always "creating." You know I love clouds if you've seen my photos at Facebook. Love and best wishes,
