Precious are the moments
That I spend with thee
No matter how short they might be
Silently, thy soul speaks softly
Out there, somewhere, in the world
This newfound kinship, kindred
Thou art there, lingering
On the edge of the shadows of dreams
Thy whisper, it does reach the depths
Of mine soul, gently within the dimness
As twilight settles like a blanket
Let me know thy eyes, so that I may see
Deep into Thy soul and know
Thou art real and not but a dream
In which mine soul is haunted
By a ghostly image of some unknown fantasy
Profound is thy spirit, me thinks
Thou art not mundane, but astonishing in the least
To giveth of one’s self so selflessly to a stranger
Yet, strangers we are not, in some peculiarly familiar way
In dreams, I do search for thee
Longing to see thy face emerge from the darkness
Precious are the moments
