Poem Artwork

They come in pots,
Or packs of seeds.
These plants we grow,
Were all once weeds.

Till someone said,
“My, this is pretty.”
I think I’ll take it,
Back to the city.
A living thing inside my home.

So in a pot it proudly grows,
A blossom now and then it shows.
Light and water is all it needs,
Now a houseplant,
No longer a weed.

Interesting perspective, Walt. Again, this proves the adage of "beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder." Thank you. Love and peace,

Regis

Does Kate mean, one mans grass is anothers weed?
Gone to pot I guess.
Nice view and outlook here...

Walt,

This is beautiful. One man's garbage is another's treasure, as you've eloquently put into words...this is a delicate, translucent bloom!

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

It's all a question of perspective, Walt, as you rightly suggest. One man's grass is another man's weed... so to speak! :)) Let no-one suggest that my garden isn't tended properly! And, if my houseplants complain at my levels of care, I shall just threaten them with deportation back to where they came from... Neat thoughts, thanks, Kate xx

water...that's the only ingredient I've been forgetting...seems houseplants need that, huh?
Tis a good thing I live in the woods...lots of trees, weeds, bushes and plants and I don't have to supply a thing! Smiles!
Enjoyed~
Love and Peace~

So true Walt! Take a geranium, for example. Here you pay three bucks for a seedling, in Hawaii it's considered a weed.... go figure!
Thanks for the smile this morning,
R~

If it is pretty and gives pleasure it is not a weed. I believe the definition of a weed is a "plant out of place."

Thank God it's no longer a weed, since if it was, I know someone who would quickly smoke it!
