Said my work was getting piddly,
And I wasn't no more writing diddly.
Don't know where that idea she got,
Maybe cause all day I sit and fiddly.
Laughing to myself and dancing giddly,
A wink I gave while playing tiddly,
"You know my poetry is not middly."
She said my Muse must've been done got shot,
"Well Daum girlie you know what I've got."
While munching on a ripe kumquat.
"I knows a bit lazy I done got,
But you know as a writer, I'm really hot."
"So you think you're really hot?
The great Walt Whitman you still are not.
Harrump Mr. Egotistical Rookie Writer,
You must be smoking some good pot.
'Cause you still don't know a Diddly Squat!"
The title is just knock-out and the poem even exceeds my high expectations of just what was in store! This is my kinda humour and my kinda lingo, Walt! I may never know who coined this exceedingly luscious descriptive phrase but I shall always remember who brought it to life - and then some! There must have been a high concentration of squalling doodles circulating the Walt vault to have been able to come up with this much excellent Diddly Squat... Squat rot this most definitely is not! Love it! :)) xx
