I see your pain and want to comfort you, but will hover near until I am allowed to approach you.
I hover near, as you stoically stare into the dark night,
You are silently lost in thought, I do not own your sight.
Where do you go, when you mentally leave my side?
You have pain from the past, that within you abides.
So I await your return to me, hovering near,
To intrude on your private thoughts, was my fear.
You finally look at me, and I hold out my arms to you,
You look deeply into my eyes of aqua blue.
You come to me and let me cuddle you in my arms,
You place your head upon my breasts and I shoo away that which would harm.
I stroke your dark hair, with gentle fingertips,
Then I place a kiss upon your sweet lips.
I sing you a love song, as a lullaby,
I feel you relax and softly sigh.
You whisper," I love you", against my skin,
As you find home in my arms and your troubled mind begins to mend.
Sounds so special to me and sometimes needed badly.
pain is something you deal with, but can be overwhelming
at times...I guess you gotta live a while to figure
that one out. Special, lovely poem SC!
