"Deception's Disguise"

He entered my soul with full force,
and he knew how deeply it did course.
He played my heart strings too long,
and allowed for darkness too strong.

It was always a battle of dark and light,
and we struggled with all of our might.
I saw his true colors arise,
his deceit was seen through clear eyes.

My mind became very clear,
but my heart just couldn't bear,
to live without him in my life,
or know I would never be his wife.

The turning point came that day,
when he looked at me with delay,
He couldn't look me in my eyes,
no longer did he wear his disguise.

Deception turned an evil trick
into a blessed day to inflict
compassion and release of my pain,
beautifying my inner terrain.

From that day, I have always known,
it was the beginning of how I've grown.
Walking away from unhappiness,
has now brought my blissfulness!
