A visit to my favorite shoreline inspired this poem with sweet rejuvenation.

Waves of Inspiration

by Amber "V" Moonstone

11/08/09

Glistening waves touching my bare feet,
mesmerized by the steady voice of the ocean
calling me to recognize the beats of my heart
as I walked along the shoreline.

I could see the ships in the distance,
the horizon clearly marked, along with
a similar distant shoreline.
The familiar sight brought calmness to my soul.

I knew you were there looking toward my shore.
Standing in your white Tshirt, old jeans and no shoes,
hair fluttering in the wind, as if freedom reigned
and I, in my long white gauze dress accepting the waves.

Tendrils of my hair, blowing into my mouth,
brought tenderness to my heart.
I could smell the ocean breeze that filled my lungs,
with rejuvenating salt filled air.

I was home, once again,
in the environment that I love,
Waves of frigid foam, encircling my feet,
I did not feel the cold, only the warmth of my heart.

Today, marked a turning point,
I know what I have been dreaming,
is "real", not a fantasy born from lust,
but a dream born from love.

Wave after wave crashed against the shore,
and with each crest gave me new hope
and rebirth of a life that is on the right path.
I have come home once again, thank the Universe!

... beautifully tender to mind, body and soul, Amber. There is such an effortless ease to the loving and lyrical ways you both give and receive. You are a natural filter and transmitter of vital energies. There is a lovely sense of balance in this write, powerfully evocative. I particularly love the ambience of your tendrils of hair blowing about your face and mouth - very feeling and sensuous. I'm another ocean girl who can fully relate! :)) xx

Amber,
You are in touch...with yourself, the natural world and your responses to it, and you and that world of love, appreciation and longing are one and the same.

Waves of Inspiration is gifted from the author's highly obvious connection to Gaia and her abiding love to have and to hold from this day forward...it is real and nothing can take soul tide away, for it is embedded in mind, body and spirit, Amber...have a wonderful trip to the Florida Keys...be safe...

Water is so soothing. Must be the negative ions or something. Reminds me of when I would walk to the shore of SF Bay back in the 90's. Beautifully written.

This smashes like those waves. It is another example of how powerful you are when you write tenderly. You are wonderful at this.

Amber this is a great and beautiful poem. You know there is a place in my city that I love to hang out.It is somewhat the exact same place in your picture.Whenever I would go to that place,it is very relaxing and peaceful.I can honestly say that it is the perfect place for couples holding hands and just enjoying their lives and their surroundings.I'm happy that you can go to the shoreline and just let your spirit be carefree. You captured the essence of the place beautifully.I love it,take care

As a child born along the rock bound and sand framed shores of Atlantic Canada the sea is as much of me as my heart. I have swam in it, worked on it, sailed on it, made love beside, above and once almost under it and I love the ocean almost as much as I love my family...it is life and breath and highs and lows. You captured a lot of this in your work today.
