Beautiful, Amber, and a delightful accompaniment to one of my ever-favourite paintings... Perhaps you will post a sister poem for The Storm? You hint towards it in your final strophe. They hang side-by-side at the Met in New York and are always swooned over by gaggles of adoring visitors, being more than life-size. And how appropriately you capture that breathless stillpoint of love's ultimate realisation, the "just-is" of a relationship where nothing can be added or subtracted to/from what forever exists between two softly-mirrored hearts: like the aura surrounding the pair in the picture. Truly, this is suspended animation that is utterly divine. Let storms blow as they will, for this love hangs steadfast as Keats' Bright Star. Breathtaking work, bless you. xx
