Forever More

Your presence is but a vision,
Your face is blurred and distant,
I blink and in an instant you are gone,
Nothing left but a sense of who you are.

I cradle my knees,
keeping the windy morning at bay,
wondering why I long for you
wondering why I wait for you.

Nothing makes sense any longer,
the distance is wearing me down,
my heart is heavy from wanting you,
my soul craves your touch.

In a blink of an eye,
I rise up from my fetal position,
and start to run down the shoreline,
as if chasing away these visceral thoughts of you.

The wind feels good against my face,
the run is exhilerating,
my feet become tired beneath the coarse sand,
and I drop to the ground and begin to cry.

I cry tears of beneficial joy,
knowing that I still do love you,
and deeply within the cocoon of my soul
that love will always remain strong and grounded.

I raise up from my joyful state of mind,
feeling refreshed and once more cleansed,
look out at the inspirational horizon
where I know that you dwell within the solace of your dreams.

My message to you is simply,
live for the moment,
take each step toward your destiny,
and love me forever more!
