Oh, Little One

Kason, my 3yr old. grandson is staying with me while he is recovering from the croup. He wanted to listen to Indian drumbeats to fall asleep to. He and the music "Ancient Voices" inspired this poem.

Oh, Little One

Oh, Little one
So wise beyond your years
knowing of ancient drums
feeling grounded as you listen.

Oh, Little one,
brave like that Thomas the engine,
that you so love to watch,
feeling loved every minute.

Oh, Little one,
battle a breathing virus,
coughing and wheezing
sending healing energy toward health.

Oh, Little one,
helping Nonni,
scrubbing the deck
releasing all your virus toxins.

Oh, Little one,
how you make my heart soar,
saying thank you and I love you,
sending love all over the place.

Oh, Little one,
sleeping like an angel,
calmly dreaming
of better days and blissful sun.

Oh, Little one,
always polite and full of manners,
taking great care to make
my life ever so precious!

Oh my goodness, Amber, he's growing so, so quickly! Little One now but already he is showing himself to be The Man of great heart that he will become. I hate when children are sick - how we wish we could take their ills from them and bear their suffering; your anguish is as apparent here as your great Nonni-heart of adoration and wonder. May you both be mutually blessed by the preciousness of your relationship and may it grow and mature with you as life continues on. This is truly priceless. Croup be gone!!!! xxx

So moving, a great reminder of the importance of simple moments spent together. Children grow up so fast, but such nurturing moments and words stay forever.

some are very wise beyond their years as many crystal children are. When I look at this child this is what I see, a crystal child. That inner knowing which draws them to where healing begins.
