One More Time

Lifeless eyes take in the view of you above my face

Holding back the tears that flow as you contemplate our fate

Forgive me now, that I must go but this body can’t hold on

It’s okay to cry, okay to grieve for a while after I’m gone

One more time, let me feel your breath warm upon my skin

One more time, let me taste your lips, feel your love within

One more time, let me hear the words, I LOVE YOU, in my ear

One more time before my end let me hold you now and here.

Forty years together, seems like we would never be apart

Through it all my love for you only grew within my heart

The only thing I wish to take from this world is your sweet love

Know that I’m am always with you, in your heart, in heaven up above

One more time, let me feel your breath warm upon my skin

One more time, let me taste your lips, feel your love within

One more time, let me hear the words, I LOVE YOU, in my ear

One more time before my end let me hold you now and here.

Now let me go, it’s hard I know, but my time has finally come

Please stay awhile and hold my hand until I am called home

Then kiss my cheek and let me sleep and know that I’m okay

And know that I love you so, we will be together soon someday

One more time, let me feel your breath warm upon my skin

One more time, let me taste your lips, feel your love within

One more time, let me hear the words, I LOVE YOU, in my ear

One more time before my end let me hold you now and here.

Your poem is good, but the large lettering is killing the absorbtion of it. Tone it done a little guy.
