Rejection steals hope, betrayal rapes the soul till only walls remain to keep the world away, imprisoning the heart till it fades away.

Walls restricting pain Loneliness reigns Shadows of desire Void of touch Whither and wane Guilt waxes on Heart drained and tired Numbing remains Dreadful and cold All is lost Life expired When does it end? Copyright© Michael R. Wood 2002
