I pour drink after drink As if a companion Accompanying me While I muse over why it's all gone so terribly wrong The same ending A different song I wasn’t thinking clearly An entranced passenger Flying along a cliff side In a driverless carriage Led by insane horses An ersatz portrait An impressionist rendering A lie without consequence An artists ending
