Dawn -- if I took this poem and placed it next to (several) poems of mine from over the years, the similarities would be striking! You and I do the exact same thing -- while the specific events are not completely alike, our take on them and how we think them through, and then how we use poetry as our "counselor" remain awfully constant! I just went and chopped some of my older, darker ones down because I'm in a place where I am ready to start anew, and they were extraneous toxic waste! (I kept some -- they weren't all overly morbid!) If you ever want to talk, compare notes, need a shoulder -- you know how to reach me! My phone number works great too! (But if you prefer writing, I know exactly how that feels as well!)

Wow, you face some very conflicting emotions and somewhat confusing individuals, but you vent it quite well here... I feel the conflict and the confusion and the doubt in your words. I hope things improve for you! :)
