In the room upstairs she sews. Happily, she patches scraps of fabric together, arranging them in patterns perfected. Stitch by stitch she joins the cloth, joyfully combining colors with style, care with skill.
In my memory, she smiles, celebrates me with friends and family gathered ‘round: a party, a cake, ice cream, games and fun in home she knits together, decorates with cozy quilted comfort of her love.

Such a warmth in the words.......ty for sharing this one, Dani
Magnificent, Dawn, totally smoothing and quilt-comforting... Very effective, emotional power in your piece, and, that art/image... I cannot describe the effect it has on my vision/mind. It's curious, I think it is the colors and the motion of the whole, lovely.

this reminds me a bit of my gramma, God rest her soul. gramma LOVED to sew and crochet. thanks for the pleasant memories this heartwarming write evoked. :)
The familiar lament of dual-career parents raising children is, "I just can't do it all." The Libra Solution provides an alternative - a more satisfying and sustainable work and life approach - to the overwrought modern day norm.
