some say I should have told you forced truth the whole truth nothing but the truth upon you my recompense some say I should have shown you pried open eyes made you see bluish-purple bruise on me your consequence some say I should have held you to harsh light exposed dark lies called witnesses to defend my innocence I could not tell you show you hold you to harsh light because I loved you wanted far more for your happiness
