Formless I rise
stretch self, shed
skin I have outgrown,
display power contained,
show true color:
King Cobra, red.
Your music charms,
hypnotizes even,
but I
awaken, dance
to my own
music, invite you
as equal, not greater
than. Strength with strength
entwined, neither
in need of part
to be whole. Each will shine,
shine on.
I strike only
at false gods
who would have me drugged,
de-fanged, and discarded.
No man shall make
me shrink from bold
exploration of
myself.
