The plane has just touched down..

upon my lovely shores....

I wait to see your precious face

As you exit the doors...

The instant you walk out the room,

Our eyes connect.

It is like pure magic.

The feelings are still there.

Like magnet, we move towards each other,

You drop your luggage

And give me the tightest hug possible.

I hold on to you so warmly.

You kiss my cheeks so tenderly

I could have melted in your arms.

We stay like this for a while.

On my face is a great big smile.

We embrace for quite a while in silence.

Suddenly words pour from both our lips.

Complimenting each other,

Questions flowing freely between us.

"Am I what you expected?"

"You are that, and so much more."

Silently now, we enter the waiting car,

Both eager to get home and close the door.

Finally, we're at my home.

I show you to your room and you freshen up.

I have a candle lit dinner ready.

We have a splendid meal together.

Then we share a cup of coffee

Like we had done so many times before.

Listening now to soft music,

As we sit cosily on the couch,

Making plans for the two weeks

That you would be here with me.
