Once, our hands touched
 wonderful moments as this
so taken for granted-- touch, touched you
once, I knew you through and through
and not in the ways of the world
I knew you in ways of waves
of cranberry sauce dripping from the corner of your mouth
and blueberry me melting shamefully before your eyes
In ways of fractions and chapters, of words already written
 an easy you and a simple me became more
more intimate than any two lovers
we shared something warmer than a bowl of noodles
And in a crowded and smoky room
filled with dreamers and floats of hope
our hearts touched-- touch, you touched me
we made music with strings and keys
sultry ballads of tears and almost kisses
once, we made magic
magic fell from your eyes
It was once a long, long time ago
but now looking through my window with
aching fingers crying this piano
we're still making love from a thousand miles away
Once...again
