you haven't any warmth to warn me of your arrival

I think I was taken aback by the things you say

your perceptions were never far enough to reach me

I always did try to find something good beneath the layers

I was there for you each time you did beseech me

though my day came and went and I didn't hear from you

you haven't an outside to mask your dreadful demeanor

if only you were beautiful on the inside at least

you expect to be pampered, respected and assured

you give nasty looks, assumptions and regret
