while winter's deft fingers steal
leaves and fruit of autumn
with cold and calculated zeal.

Spring's magic song will melt
the icicles of winter slumber
bringing blossoms draped in green
of every color and number.

Birds will send out melodies
filling your heart with gold.
Blossoms will twinkle like stars
as Life's secret they hold.

Their beauty will fall away
like ballerinas bowing so low
Fruit will make its entrance
with a plump, juicy hello.

Til the breeze takes wing
and sails the sky faster
as fruit abandons its perch
and winter again is master.
