Whispered quietly in the wee hours of a dark night
Where fear travels, hidden secretly, from all sight
Blood red roses bloom, with splendid pink delight

Skirts raised, legs forward, and let the ballet begin
Spinning, go around and around, like Alex Baldwin,
A musical façade, like never seen before, a Berlin,
Or maybe a Gershwyn, but truly not a boogeyman.
A wine in hand, the lady drinks her fill, until relaxed,
A victim of circumstance, the one whose been axed,
While time marches by, as the pain passes untaxed,
As a new relationship is formed, and has climaxed.
A full circle, time ticking forward, before falling back,
A time for healing that has passed, without payback,
Yet the clock ticks and the earth spins, a comeback,
While gardens grow, spring tulips and counterattack.
