mixed up the blood samples.

My sweetie, my precious little angel – that’s what you are
You were a “meant to have” and a very welcome surprise.
Your mouth looked like a tiny little valentine. Your cheeks
were so soft and spongy; just waiting to soak up my kisses.
A beautiful little “Lump” with your legs tucked under you
like a turtle. I will be your house
When I finally got you home, I took off all your clothes and
pressed you to my bare chest right between my breasts with your little bottom in one hand and your head in the other.
There you slept so peacefully while my emotions swelled
and went haywire.
I know you heard my breath catch didn't you
I know you felt my tingling goose bumps.
I know you felt my heart reach out like a pillow against you.
I know I felt you pass through me and kiss my heart with
every breath I took.
You left me with your baby smell…a scent that I will wear forever
I look at you now and fold you in quarters; thinking about how you used to fit inside me.
I ache for that sometimes you know.
I want you back there where I know you’ll be safe.
But I know that one day you’ll take flight.
I just hope and pray that your journey will not have too many obstacles.
I want you to know that as the door widens for you, it can shut just as well if you feel you’re not ready to cross that threshold.

and I love you very much.

Oh I miss those days........you make me all teary thinking about it. I hate the growing up part. You stun me. I love this. Nobody knows these things except a mom :) The beauty of motherhood. Careful, they grow fast. Yesterday mine were like that...now they are 12 and 5. Where did the time go?
