This is a true story which was on the news the other night. She was some lady, not wanting to shoot but I truly believe she would have...Bless her and bless the guy that burst through her front door.
Gun Tottin Grandma
A young black man was runnin for his life.
A gang was chasing him with all their might.
The young man burst through a stranger’s door.
Heard a woman’s voice saying, “Get down on the floor”.
He stood there a minute before dropping to his knees.
A Grandma held a gun in her shaking hands screaming pleas.
“Don’t come a step closer,” the old Grandmother squealed.
Like in a slow motion he stopped in his tracks, this was surreal.
“I’ll shoot you right were you stand, “she said, as she dialed 911.
Blaring, “I’ll shoot him right now if you don’t soon come.
He shook and he quivered & felt relief when the police finally came.
“Please take me to jail and away from this one crazy dame.”
You gotta love this poem. There's an elderly neighbor of mine who has a doormat with a gun printed on it and the words, "Forget the dog. Beware of owner!" She has a Rotweiler. LOL. Anyone has a right to protect themselves and their property using whatever means are applicable. I applaud that woman and I applaud you for the write Bonnie.
Well you know maybe the seniors are just getting fed up with being treated the way they have and aren't going to take the crap from these young hoodlums..
She must be related to the good Dr....great story Bonnie!

Yeppers, now, that's a granny after my own heart. I think I want to send her flowers and Xs and Os (oops, better not, Patty might be lookin over here). Come to think of it, that granny might BE Patty :-)
