You take me There

You make me feel so many things

And I feel them so intensely.

How have I survived my scattered dreams

For decades  ...  ignored so densely?

You’re just an average guy to most

And maybe less to some

But to me you’re the hope I never supposed.

You’ve given me the keys to the kingdom.

You take me there, you do

To sweet warm days and nights spent

Like loving, giddy fools

Who wonder where the world went.

You take me there.

It’s a fairyland where women glorify men.

The air is clean and clear.

A world where men can count on honor’s end

And for their lady’s true love never fear

It’s birds and butterflies, dragons and flowers,

Duels fought for love and won for peace.

It’s tragedies that fade before their final hours

And lovers trysts and secret dreams.

You take me there, you do

To sweet warm days and nights spent

Like loving, giddy fools

Who wonder where the world went.

You take me there.

Where trust is cherished after it’s earned,

Where the simplest pleasures win the day.

Jealousy and hate are never learned

And the heart is held in tender ways.

You take me there, you do

To sweet warm days and nights spent

Like loving, giddy fools

Who wonder where the world went.

You take me there.

You take me there.

You take me there....
