The sun emerges painting an eastern sky to a morning I hoped would not shine. My thoughts contradict God wills as fog creeps into corners thick with regret.
My life feels as if it lay beneath blackish waters frozen by winter's edge; entomb like the living dead, cold from the inside-out, rigid, a manikin of choice.
Later, the moon plays Lazy-Susan with twinkling stars. My thoughts travel, so far, far away-- where darkness becomes small to find.
In sight, but out of reach-- another day passes-by without you.
I agree with Diana Tracey. This is very deep and so poignant. I have felt like this for many years, just going through the motions of life, like part of the living dead. Thnx for sharing dear.
