I think it shows that as much as men want to be hard azzes we aren't nothing but cookie dough and philsbury dough boys underneath the instantwe're lovingly touched by a woman. Great Piece!

One of the things I love about poetry is that it can have many meanings. Different people take away different things. Still, it disturbs me a little that this poem is being interpreted to mean something quite different than what I was thinking as I wrote it. To me, it is clear that the woman wanted -- or thought she wanted -- Mr. Perfect. Now she wishes she had stayed with gentle. Love instead of money and position. Not saying sex isn't important, or being in shape. Am saying -- trying to say -- that a lot of people look only at what is on the outside. . .and one day it is too late to change their minds. Oh, well. People seem to be getting a buzz. And that is a very good thing. Sweet dreams, Pea -- PS: Both the man and woman are
