"Einstein Weeps"

I wanted to speak to Einstein about you
And discuss the ultimate varathane topics
That I usually throw in for sentimental value
Just in the overt chance of redundancy
When you walked into the drawing room
And commented on the exhaust fumes
Emitting from the virginous underwater lilies
I found it to be redeeming that you cared
But emotions aside there would be no party
Not in your honor and not in your lifetime
Einstein’s choice beef was that I let it go
At least for the upcoming temporary holidays
I was resigned to drink marshmallow coffee
And obey the effects of a lustful Chinese tea
Laced with ancient remedies in chapstick form
Einstein weeps and there is no understanding
But only because no one else cares to read
The sightless have more things in common
And the immune response was devastating
I proposed a melding of the two similar issues
But you rejected it with the usual gray clouds
I turned to interject a catastrophic comment
And you slept in pink circles in spite of it all
Einstein has a way of recovering the spring
And smoking the afternoon with subtle apathy
My parakeet leans towards the setting sun
And I hold out for that last remaining hope
Because I honestly know what you do not
And there will be no consequence to rainfall
October harbors a few augmented evenings
And that shall give me sufficient time to think
Einstein weeps to commemorate the moment
And his superficial girlfriends leave clueless
Wearing their onionskin paper doll dresses
Headed to a watermelon colored firestorm

This makes my kinda sense, somehow... but then, I have always been somewhat of an Alice figure. Slightly Richard Brautigan, too... unless it's just the mention of the watermelon! A very sophisticated shape-up of, for me, 70s post-psychedelia (I was born just too late for the real McCoy!) which has the same deep-seated resonance of a Dali. More of this stuff, please... not that I don't appreciate your "straighter" romance! Happy New Year, Amor! Love, Kate xx

I like the way you discuss Einstein 'relatively' without directly bringing the theory of relativity. really very uniquely woven, enjoyed your mind process for this one Amor....Season's greetings!

I see we both got restlessness and sadness for Christmas! Passionate people have great passion for all things and really are not of this world, we can't really live here, we just exist here. SC

Here are images that pop in and out of my mind without ever settling there-- Surreal, like a dream weaving unmeaningful things together that you already "know", and making them stick there as if it meant something so important, that you should remember-- if only you could remember-- but dream colors melt into day, as firestorms fade into watermelon shades... Of course, maybe it all does mean something-- do you know? --Charlie

Amor,

A surreal feel to this...hectic images painted briefly, to be replaced with others just as important...a visual masterpiece you've painted in abstract lines. Well done!

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

Mysterious and surreal. Made of images that seem so close until they suddenly fly away and become unreachable for the reader's mind.

Interesting imaginative work.
