Hearts dancing in Ecstatic Bliss

Poem Artwork

I know you await me in the endless tide
for that day that i appear to be with you
when i secretly take your hand in mine
such as the soft whisper of the breeze

imperceptible as the subtle sway of palms
that fringe gingerly upon a blurred horizon
as silent as smiles that frequents your lips
betrayed only by that glistening sunlight

that perches there when you think of me
as i dance within the haze of your dreams
and you mouth my name fast in the echo
that surrounds each memory of our love

and in the reverie i ask can you not hear me?
when i take aim on your cheek with a kiss
as i call out to you in the bosom of the ocean
in the mad perplexity of waves chasing waves

a hopscotch of foam at the crest of swells
a streak in the horizon reflecting our desires
a line in the sand that glints in the distance
projected between faint islands in our hearts

we dance on the beach to music melancholy
footprints indelible to betray where we are
while stars appear and reappear in the night
and we promenade under our moonlit sky

A beautiful imagery...love, passion, sand, beach, stars, and melancholy...beautifully composed.

A beautiful love poem if ever there was one. But you might have added "when she was 15. Today, she is 30." Or something like that. Other than that, you are sill the Romantic Poet, par excellence.

I love your use of the shedding of the beach declare your love for her in this poem.

Reminds me of the many poems I wrote and sent to my ex before we got married. I don't recall keeping a copy of any of them. Perhaps she has because she always liked that side of me.

From her pictures, Daisy obviously has eyes meant only for you.
