Lord, you know my needs

Before I ever pray

You know my heart

And what I want to say

Lord, teach me to not worry

Because You take care of me

You give me many blessings

Some that I never see

Lord, teach me that we all

Have a cross we have to bear

And that I'm not all alone

Because I know You care

When I feel I'm at my lowest

There's others worse than I

Teach me to trust in Your word

That You hear my humble cry

Sometimes I complain so, Lord

Teach me to understand

Instead of feeling sorry for myself

To get up and lend a hand

When I wallow in self pity, Lord

And the way seems dark and cold

Teach me to reach out my arms

Help a tortured soul

I have walls built around me

A place to sleep at night

Teach me to be grateful, Lord

That everything's allright

You know my needs are many

My heart cries out to You

I get so discouraged, Lord

I don't know what to do

I lay my burdens at Your feet

And I'll slowly walk away

Teach me to just leave them there

Jesus, Lord I pray
