Poem Artwork

In this vast world we live in
Will we ever know
Is it fate or destiny
That holds us in its flow
Do the stars tell us how to act
Control the way we feel
Are we just puppets on a string
Not realizing what is real

In this vast world we live in
Will we ever know
The mysteries of life and death
Are what they will bestow
Is our canvas already painted
Or do we create our own
If life comes with instructions
Why aren't we ever shown

In this vast world we live in
Will we ever know
The magic of the universe
Or how the stars glow
Are the chapters of our lives
Already written down
Is there nothing we can do
To turn it all around

Does happiness and pain
Lay in our own hand
Is life of our own making
Help me to understand...

Linda, I used to try to fix things my self. I found out I could not fix them!SO INSTEAD OF DOING THINGS MY WAY. I started doing things GODS WAY!The road of life is rocky indeed, with many pit falls. And without the proper guidence, you can get very lost.doing nothing but wander around in circles! I had a lot of questions, but no answers.God had them. I enjoyed your poem! very deep meanings. your friend randy

Linda:
This is a very thought provoking poem - ideas that many of us have considered. I have enjoyed reading your poems. They come from the heart.

You are like a character in a novel of your own making. The scene is set when you arrive, but by and large the rest is up to you.

The magic of the universe is simply amazing. The majesty of it all, whether you comprehend its inner workings or not, is astonishing. It is understandable, and beautiful.

One clue to help you understand yourself, is to know your place in the scheme of it all. In the physical realm, we all share the visible with the invisible. In the spiritual, we are all related to God, and once again the visible sharing time and space with the invisible.

Great poem.

I believe in fate, but it's possible to alter that fate. This poem probes deep and asks questions we all want the answers to. Great writing:)

We are created in the image of God to love Him first and foremost and secondly our fellow man! And to be the best we can be one day at a time. If we knew all the answers God and the universe would be purposeless. Lets share the joy of what we do know and embrace the knowledge of the unknown with open arms: but most of all let us learn how to love one another just a little more! Linda this piece is thought prevoking, heart wrenching, and down right beautiful and it O.K. not to have all the answers.

I have to agree with Felix although we don't realize the outcome of our decisions at the time. We just have to accept and live life one day at a time and live it to the fullest Linda. thank you for sharing another beautiful write.

Deep thoughts and inspired reflections in this write Linda...answers only one place we will get them and I am not ready to go there yet. I think we are put into several sets of scenarios in our lifetimes and how we react determines our futures.

Linda: This is a beautiful poem, maybe we are not meant to know, at least not while we are on this earth, maybe we will find our answers in paradise, thank you for sharing.

Linda, it is quite awe inspiring to think that it is all destined, laid out, our paths are already chosen for us. I believe that we carry the power to alter destiny, by choosing against the grain, but should we? Would we dare? I listen to the signals from the Universe, because I believe in the power of Universal laws and energy. That is my take sorry to go on, but your poem certainly inspired this response.
Thank you for such a mind opening poem, very well done.
Peace, love and light,

Quite a number of questions here that have been asked for thousands of years.

Many of us know that God has a plan for us. But if there are no choices for us to make, then what is our purpose of being? Oh, my, that's another question, isn't it?

A stimulating and provocative write, Linda!

All we need to know is that God has it all planned out for us. Knowing that if he asks us to leap into a black emptiness he will be there to catch our fall is all I need to know my dear Linda. A thought provoking piece well penned. God bless you

That's one of the big mysterys of life. We won't understand until God takes us home. This is only a way station. Real life; eternal life; is in Heaven. Well written piece Linda. God bless you for sharing it.
