This is an update to my poem..Kidnapped
...Ashley and Joshua. I recieved a letter from
Beth, Zacks precious Grandmother. Her niece Tracy works at the day care the children attended. If you hadn't read my previous poem, please do. You will better understand.

Here is Beth's email.

My sister called around 4 pm to tell me they thought they had found Joshua. At 8pm, the body had been positively identified as that of Joshua Gleesen. Please pray for the family during this devasting time. As I said in previous e-mails, both Joshua and Ashley attended my niece, Tracy Evans' day care.

Dear Lord, please give this family strength to endure whatever they may encounter during this difficult time. I have included an AP newswire on the discovery.

River Body ID'd As Missing 3-Year Old

CHANNAHON, Ill. - The body of a 3-year-old boy found Sunday in the Des Plaines River is the son of a man arrested in Florida on suspicion of killing his girlfriend and kidnapping his children from his ex-wife, police said. The boy's body was discovered by two fishermen after it washed ashore just south of Joliet. Authorities said Joshua Gleeson was identified through dental records and an autopsy found he had been shot twice in the head with a small-caliber weapon.

A task force has been investigating the disappearance of the boy and his 5-year-old sister, Ashley, who haven't been seen since Nov. 22. Searchers planned to look for the girl Monday in the area where the boy was found.

Patrick Gleeson, 48, was arrested Dec. 8 as he slept in his van in Daytona Beach, Fla., and charged in the death of his girlfriend. The body of Dena Fuglseth, 43, was found Nov. 29 in the cellar of their house near Holland, Mich.

Police said he also failed to return the children to his ex-wife, Edna Smith of Dwight, who had legal custody. The children were reported missing Nov. 25.

A judge on Friday denied bond for Gleeson, who has been refusing to tell authorities where his children are. The FBI had said the children were considered missing and endangered.

There was a gun in Gleeson's van when he was arrested, but he was arrested without incident, police said. A phone message left for Gleeson's attorney was not immediately returned late Sunday.

This is Beth's email dated today..12-16-02

I just heard on the news another body of a juvenile was found near the sight where Josh was found. It was found around noon today. Positive ID probably won't happen until an autopsy is done later this evening. It is with heavy heart that I write this. I was so hoping these children would have been given to someone to care for while Patrick Gleeson was on the run. Please keep their mother, Sue, and their family in your prayers. Also, my niece, Tracy, as she will also be having a difficult time answereing questions of all the children at her day care.

Dwight is a very small and close community. There was a story in the Grand Rapids Press about the feelings of the community. One thing that struck me was the comments of children of divorced parents are asking if their daddy could do the same to them. It is so sad.

I cannot ever explain how I feel at this moment....how anyone could harm a child. Look at their precious picture. How could any human do this? They had the same rights to live as you or I. These children had a future with dreams and plans and love to give. Please pray for this family...how difficult it must be for them! May the Lord put his loving arms around them.
