Poem Artwork

Tired and sick
Can't take anymore
I'm wondering what
I'm living for
I'm ready to go
Stand by my side
Don't leave me now
I won't be denied
Jesus, are you
Listening to me
I scream out in pain
Please set me free

I'm not going
Without you
So please
Understand
I need the comforting
Touch of your hand
Lead me on
Into the light
I'm tired of keeping
Up the fight

All my life
I've kept to myself
A loner who's been
Kept on a shelf
This time I can't
Go it alone
I need you, Jesus
To take me home
Tears of despair
Hear my cry
Take my hand, Jesus
Watch me fly

Your heart-wrenching plea for peace in poetic form is beautiful, Linda. Akin to: "Come unto Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest". Amen!

I believe this is the way we should talk to Jesus,
the way we talk to one another.
A desperate prayer Linda...
