3 months of my life.....thank god i escaped that particular hell......put to music at Best Cellar

VERSE 1 Old man speaks the truth No one listens at his door You see he's drunk and hard of hearing Not a grown-up anymore He tells me don't be gettin sinful 'Less you think you might get nailed Because the only satisfying thing Is trying 'til you've failed CHORUS Hey there little lady You've been giving up too soon What about your childhood dreams Of shootin craps up on the moon VERSE 2 Goin down a darkened path Can't see my hands or feet I'm like some disembodied spirit Make my living sellin sheets I gotta get outside my tight skin Gotta leave it all behind I'll will my body to ya just let me keep What's left of my mind CHORUS Hey there little lady You've been sounding like a loon Put down your sugar flakes and join me Shootin craps up on the moon VERSE 3 Monday morning I be brain-dead Tuesday they bury me By the time I get to Wednesday I'm as moldy as can be They say that Thursday you can see the shine Of Friday evening lights The neon of another tavern And the smell of Saturday fights CHORUS But me I don't see nothin Just a dusty bag and spoon A real bad imitation not like Shootin craps up on the moon
