As far as I'm concerned, friendships are just as important as being married.

Close friends they were Sharing ideas... Things from the past Then one day...one of them Went haywire... Acted in an ugly way Bringing up Old business To her friend's dismay Her brain exploded Accusations blurted Billowing clouds of smoke She realized What she had done All she could do Was apologize Over and over Again...

Best friends can be soulmates, lovers and yes spouses but they can also for whatever reason end up parting. All we can do then is hold onto the good part and let the rest drift into the past.

In fact best friends make the best marriage partners....I know I married my best friend in the history of ever! Sometimes "I'm sorry" is the hardest thing to say....especially over and over....Nicely done!

yes, friendship runs so very deep. I really like your reflection here and how you end this. It does take a heart filled with courage to apologize. And over and over again...well that takes lots of courage!
