I can relate as some "doctors" thought that I was afflicted with BP in the past. I hated the meds as they did nothing for me. Well, as it turns out, I did not have BP. I just have my own personality or three (not schizophrenia). Lol! But I know friends who have this and it is serious. My empathy to you, Deborah. Love and best wishes,

I am taking my meds ED, but there are those who like those high, highs. They take themselves off their meds or they don't know they are BP.

It took 9 years and 4 stays in the hospital before I was diagnosed.

It is hard to detect and the last Dr. I had first diagnosed schizophrenia, but changed it to BP. Last time I was in the hospital was in "86"

Like what Mr. Hull said and have to agree, I know at least two guys that are bi polar and they are both quite intelligent...guess I will never have to worry then about being that same...depression is enough of a challenge for me...I don't know how you folks keep it all together, this including my friend that runs, owns & manages a variety store at the shore and another that is a computer guy that has written one book and is in the process of writing another...Stay on your meds, Deb...-e-

I've noticed that it certainly does run a very intelligent people.
