Sherry this piece made me cry. For those who died in those towers, unable to escape, I pray for their souls. I also pray for joy and peace in the world. There is no reason for the fanatical factions that are causing terror around the world, to be doing what they are doing. But I pray for their souls too, because they have no idea what freedom is. The have no idea of the meaning behind the red, white and blue. They have no understanding about what the Statue of Liberty really stands for. The claim they are doing this as a holy war, but the Khoran forbids the killing of innocent persons. But they, like the Catholic church for instance, on read and go by what they want, and everything else is ignored. I really liked this piece sis, but it made me cry at the life that has been lost because of someone's hatred for our way of life. May the Lord Jesus bless you, and be with you always, and at your side constantly. A Beautiful Heart touching tribute. Your love for your country and freedom really shines through in this loving poem Yes it is more than a shame that they have to be that way. I love the whole poem yet the parts that really stuck out was "We watched in sadness as the sun did set Replaced by a blood-red moon" and "Heads bent in prayer yet standing tall"

I think this sums up how everyone feels at a moment like this,they will never be forgotton and quite rightly so, evil will never triumph over whats right, and freedom for all is a basic right...to hell with them that spit spite and to heaven with those that were caught up in there sick ideals...may God bless every last victim and those they left behind to grieve xxx

B e a u t i f u l tribute, Sherry. You have used rhyme so effectively. In my opinion, it is a difficult feat (to say the least). Thank you for reminding us not to get so caught up in other tragedies that we forget to pray for the victims of 9/11.

Sherry, Fantastic and soooooo AWESOME AND SADLY TRUE , SEVERELY TRUE. They hate us and our freedom and our Christianity and they have for ages. I mean I was read the Christian Persecution by Muslims
maybe not all , but most muslims hate us . I am not sorry if this offends anyone. I read and read and I was under the impression that I KNEW how bad they felt , until I read that certain aonditions of their beliefs require to persecute Christians even by traveling outside of the Muslim nations and their tatics of pretending to be just as we are and imulating our ways until they gain strength and the proper position to Kill us off. It went on and on.......
We can not afford the luxury of being innocent to the hate they feel.

Such wanton and indiscriminate life-taking leaves us reeling and at a loss to comprehend the ways of man sometimes. As Dawn says, a fitting tribute to those who perished will be to strive to make the world a safer place for her inhabitants, but that takes time, patience, tolerance and understanding of all the issues involved. And the will to succeed on all fronts. Unity is, after all, NOT uniformity, but a desire to reach a common goal notwithstanding the differences. I pray to God that it will not take the threat of Armageddon to bring all the nations of the world together with just that one aim of saving the planet. But it would certainly re-organise our priorities. I make no excuse for terrorism and I appreciate that Peace may not be the ultimate goal of those who desire to achieve supremacy for their own ends. Such aggression needs to be quenched but, beyond that, earth's people MUST again find ways to harmonise and live in mutual tolerance, one of another. Bravery is indeed what is called for, Sherry.
