Some try to understand us all
Or sort us by a single name
But we are women all unique
And we are not some kind of game
Please don’t try to classify us
Or to say you know how we think
It’s just a gender difference
And you’ve not found the missing link
We’re really bright, as you can see
When we write and speak from our mind
In being partners and in life
We’re much more than a cute behind
So while you’re sitting and thinking
About what makes the perfect one
Think of the subtle differences
Which make us beautiful and fun
For we are people just like you
Leaving the gender thing aside

This is not a poem written in anger at all, just my thoughts on the whole beauty and perfection thing that is so often placed on us, as women, through all the marketing industries, etc... Thanks for reading my works.

What they are is mysterious and wonderful. And all shades and colors of the spectrum. Just like their male counterparts. Like Forrest Gump said, "Life is just a bowl of cherries. You never know what you'll get till you pull one out." Oh well maybe I did paraphrase this and mine seems to always get hung up on the cherry part. But that comes from life on a deserted island. Love is poetry. All poetry are songs from the hearts and soul. Whether they're being recited or being sung, it makes no difference - they're songs from the poet's heart. To deny that is denying one's expression of the truth of one's words and feelings.
I'd rather listen to a nice romantic song than to read some roughed up language novels.
Just my humble opinion. Sorry I didn't mean to offend.
Very good write Sherry...you are right and I should bop myself one for thinking all women are beautiful works of perfection...but then again...if you are not...then we as men would be less than that :)
