There was nothing the doctor
could do - called the man's
wife in; she kissed him, said
goodbye; was given his last
rights . . .
Heard a voice from the heavens
above, "How's your life been?"
"Just thought I'd ask;" "Oh, by
the way, don't worry, everything's
okay . . . "
"You'll be coming home, but first,
there's something we've got to do;"
"Have to rebuild a part of Heaven!"
"That section is in shambles, it's a
ruin . . . "
"It's going to take a while, because
all the workman are half asleep;"
"And after all the work they've done,
nothing has changed - it's still the
same . . . "
"Somehow, with all that's going on,
we're expected to wear a smile,
because the Big Boss is keeping
an eye on us;" "So we play it real
cool . . . "
"Then of course, come five o'clock
workers are running around - that's
the !.#%# union for you (whoops,
I hope the Big Cheese didn't hear
me . . .) "
"Well, I've gotta go now, everywhere
it's getting dark and there's a six
o'clock curfew;" "Plus, it's time for
tea and I have to go home to the
wife . . . "
"What was that you ask?" "What
exactly are the carpenters working
on?" "The dance hall was wrecked;"
"Can you hold a sec, my cell phone is
ringing . . . "
"Okay God, I understand;" "Well, that
was the Chief;" "He changed his mind,
no more dancing!" "He's closing it down
because it was in Hell's Kitchen; of all the
nerve . . . "
